Beer Review: Soundwave – Siren Craft Brew

We’ve gone for a double bill today with another Siren Craft Brew beer. This time around we’ve got one of their core beers Soundwave IPA.

Classic IPA visual on the beer, pouring a nice slightly hazy, straw colour and produced a nice white head. Soundwave has a an incredible nose to it. You really get mango and pineapple chunks coming from it giving off a fantastic tropical vibe. Flavour wise is no difference at all. Lovely balance to the beer with a full flavoured, hoppy taste throughout and a perfectly light bitterness on the finish. As such, Siren have produced a fantastically drinkable beer and it is understandable why it is part of their core range.

A quick note on the can art: The can art for Siren’s beers is nothing short of beautiful in my opinion with Soundwave’s being no exception. In fact I love the design so much I decided to up-cycle it into a plant pot. Maybe once I have a few more I’ll write a little article on it!

I mean what more can I say other than I adore this beer. Really incredible fresh nose and a full flavour. They’ve balanced the bitterness perfectly to make this super drinkable and tasty. If you happen to be in Morrisons definitely pick this up because at £1.50 a can it’s a steal. Definitely worthy of my second 9/10.

Score 9/10
