Today I return to a pale ale, which, come to think of it I have not had in a fair while. I think IPAs are the most popular style at the moment but I do love a good pale ale. Another of the Tiny Rebel haul this is their ‘Easy Livin” 4.3% ABV session pale ale!
Visually, the beer had me excited immediately. Lovely and pale with a good haze to it. As you can see from the picture it also has great carbonation. On the nose the beer has a tropical aroma with undertones of citrus. These smells are matched in the taste. The slight tropical and grapefruit citrus comes through as the beer moves into a lovely light bitterness. The finish certainly leaves you wanting another sip. The carbonation really pushes the flavours around and the ABV makes this an incredibly smooth beer to knock back.
A quick note on the can art: Really love the sunset colours used in this. I can absolutely picture myself on a warm beach somewhere watching the sun go down, with a pint of Easy Livin’ in my hand – rather than watching the rain hammer down through the kitchen window as is currently the case.
There is nothing much more to say about this beer other than it’s really good. Super refreshing and incredibly drinkable. Most certainly a session IPA but still full of fantastic flavour. I will certainly be on the look out for more of this if the weather decides to pick up again!
Score: 8.5/10
