Beer Review: Greyhounds Don’t Like Jazz – Wylam Brewery

A new brewery for today’s review on recommendation from one of my local delis/bottle shops: Arch Rivals. Wylam Brewery is actually based out of Palace of Arts in Exhibition Park, Newcastle. I’m a bit of a fan of weird beer names and this one might take the title for me so far. ‘Greyhounds Don’t Like Jazz’ is Sour IPA at 7.1% ABV that is apparently … Continue reading Beer Review: Greyhounds Don’t Like Jazz – Wylam Brewery

Beer Review: Tarocco’s Modern Life – 71 Brewing

Been having a lot of gluten free beers lately so be prepared for a slightly GF focus in the near future. However, for now, I’ve still got a few Lidl beers kicking around including today’s beer ‘Tarocco’s Modern Life’ by 71 Brewing. A brilliant pun between the 90s kid show Rocco’s Modern Life and a variety of blood orange this is a sour IPA at … Continue reading Beer Review: Tarocco’s Modern Life – 71 Brewing

Beer Review: Cosmic Cafe – Fourpure Brewing Co.

I had completely forgotten I had this beer. I bought the Fourpure Brewing Co ‘Globetrotter’ bundle over 3 months ago, which in Covid time is essentially an eternity. The bundle was full of very zany beers and I saved this for last as it sounded like the weirdest of the lot. ‘Cosmic Cafe’ is coffee-sour. I love a nice sour beer and I can get … Continue reading Beer Review: Cosmic Cafe – Fourpure Brewing Co.

Beer Review: Citra Sour – Pretty Decent Beer Co.

Finally getting around to trying this beer I picked up from my local brewery, Pretty Decent Beer Company. Was actually meant to review this with a friend but I accidentally gave him a can of their Pilsner so unfortunately I will have to wait on doing that review! This is a recently new brew for them and is a can of their ‘Citra Sour’ coming … Continue reading Beer Review: Citra Sour – Pretty Decent Beer Co.

Beer Review: All Signs Point To Fort Lauderdale – Neon Raptor Brewing Co.

It’s been a while since a beer review and they’ve been a bit sporadic this week as a result of me being on holiday. Can’t have everything revolving around beer now can we (although I did pick pick up a couple of brews while I was in the Peak District)! Today’s beer is from acclaimed brewers Neon Raptor based out of Nottingham. Another pick up … Continue reading Beer Review: All Signs Point To Fort Lauderdale – Neon Raptor Brewing Co.

Beer Review: Midsummer – Fourpure Brewing Co.

The penultimate beer from the Fourpure’s Globetrotter bundle of beers. This is ‘Midsummer’ a Pinot Noir Gose at 5.5% ABV. There’s a slight twist to this beer in that it is a collaboration with a winery rather than another brewery. This beer has Pinot Noir grapes added to it from the Noita Winery in Finland. Hopefully this is the recipe for another amazing beer, Visually … Continue reading Beer Review: Midsummer – Fourpure Brewing Co.

Beer Review: Fake Empire – BrewDog

Another beer from the new range available at Morrisons! Craft beer heavyweights BrewDog have dropped a couple of new brews into both Morrisons and Tesco stores which look like they could be exciting. It’s been a little while since I’ve reviewed a BrewDog beer and all the ones I have reviewed have been a part of a their collaborative series. So I’ve gone for what … Continue reading Beer Review: Fake Empire – BrewDog

Beer Review: Tone Burst – Drygate Brewing Co.

Trying to focus on the Lidl reviews at the moment to give people a chance to buy them before they disappear from the stores! We’ve had a couple of Drygate beers at this point and this one is ‘Tone Burst’ a Rhubarb Berliner Weisse. In accordance to the style, it is a a low 3.2% ABV which might be the lowest so far on the … Continue reading Beer Review: Tone Burst – Drygate Brewing Co.

Beer Review: Carnival – Fourpure Brewing Co.

Fourpure, a month or so ago, released their ‘Globetrotter’ bundle. Six new beers loosely based on various locations around the world. Most of these beers were super funky so I brought a couple with me to Cornwall for my friends to have a go at as well. First up is ‘Carnival’, inspired of course by Rio de Janeiro it is a 4.5% ABV Coconut and … Continue reading Beer Review: Carnival – Fourpure Brewing Co.

Beer Review: Coastline – Fourpure Brewing Co.

Recently London based Fourpure Brewing Company released six new beers themed around different parts of the world. Pretty funky brews they seemed too. This is not one of those beers. I bought this in addition to that bundle (and the glass of course, got to grow that branded glass collection) as a little treat because I absolutely love sour beers and this one sounded rather … Continue reading Beer Review: Coastline – Fourpure Brewing Co.
